Week 5 Check In!

Week 5 has been really yummy!

We really enjoyed the steaks and skinny twice-baked potatos - we had beef tenderloin (YUM) and the potatos didn't even taste skinny! We had cold weather this week which was great for the two soups that were on the meal plan. The french onion was delightful alongside the quiche (I took leftovers for lunch and enjoyed them equally as well the next day)...

Here we are, already at the end of Week 4! This week was a little bit crazy and I didn't get the chance to try all of the dinner recipes, but I made sure to stay in my calorie range each day.

After a slight derailment at last week after the family cook-out so I made sure to stay on the straight-and-narrow this week. I am still happy with the "satisfied" feeling I have while on this meal plan and lack of the ravenous hunger I have experienced on other "diets" in the past...

Week 2 Check In!

Well, I am now at the end of Week 2 of the "Get Forking Skinny Meal Plan" and it's time to check-in with my experiences this past week. It has been another good week! After Week 1, I wasn't sure if I had lost any weight or not, but was pleasantly surprised to be down by 2 pounds! This week, I can definitely feel a difference in my body! Again, I have not felt significant hunger with this meal plan, and have usually only wanted one snack per day...

Week 1 Check In!

So this is the summary of what my experience has been after completing Week One on the "Get Forking Skinny Meal Plan", which I started on January 6th.

With all of my past dieting experiences, I was prepared and ready to feel hunger. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I found that after having breakfast, I didn't need my morning snack and after dinner, didn't really need an evening snack. Most days however, I would have the afternoon snack. I'm not so sure if this was due to real hunger or the stress I was feeling at work. The snack I particularly love is an ounce of Krave Basil Citrus Turkey Jerky - it is absolutely delicious, is pure protein with no ingredients you can't pronounce, and only 80 calories per ounce!...
