It’s the love child of gooey, golden cheddar and the tangy, herb-packed goodness of ranch — all swaddled in soft warm homemade bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 C. Warm Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 3/4 C. Bread Flour
  • 1/2 C. Shredded Cheddar
  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry Ranch Mix
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Active Dry Yeast

Instructions

  1. Place the 1 1/3 C. Warm Water, 3 Tbsp. Butter, 3 3/4 C. Bread Flour, 1/2 C. Shredded Cheddar, 3 Tbsp. Sugar, 1 Tbsp. Dry Ranch Mix, 1 1/2 Tsp. Salt, and 1 1/2 Tsp. Active Dry Yeast into the basin of a bread machine in the order indicated by the manual.
  2. Set the machine to 'dough' option and let it run.
  3. Once done (about an hour and a half later), set your oven to 'warm' or 'bread proof' and lightly coat a 9x5" loaf pan with non-stick baking spray and transfer the dough to the pan.
  4. Cover lightly with a tea towel and place the pan in the warmed oven to proof for about 30 minutes.
  5. Once the dough has risen again, remove from the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  6. When the oven is preheated, remove the tea towel and place the pan into the oven to bake for 30-35 minutes or until browned on the top and the bread sounds hollow when you tap it.
  7. Remove from the oven to cool for 5-10 minutes before removing the loaf from the pan to a wire rack to continue cooling. (Butter the top if desired.)
  8. Once cooled off, slice and enjoy!
