These healthified baked basil mozzarella sticks are super easy and tasty! A serving of two is less than 75 calories, and this recipe is so versatile, the possibilities are endless! I can't wait to try a cheddar and jalapeño version.
Dip these in marinara, like you would cheese sticks, or serve as a side to this Skinny Tomato Basil Soup in place of a grilled cheese.
Unlike other cheese stick recipes, this one requires no cheese-freezing and hardly and prep time. Just roll and bake!

2 Light String Cheeses
8 Wonton Wrappers
16 Fresh Basil Leaves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Slice the string cheese length wise into four equal sections. Rest one segment of the string cheese across the wonton wrapper (corner to corner) and top with two basil leaves. Roll the wonton wrapper up and set onto the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down. Repeat for each stick and give all another light spray of non-stick cooking spray over the top.
Bake for 5 minutes, turn over, and bake for another 2-3 minutes or until crisp and edges are browning. Let cool and serve!
